Tomorrow starts today

Tomorrow starts today, it is a stage set built from question and encounter.

For the 1st edition of the MAÑANA Fair at IFEMAEnorme Studio designed an open space where architecture does not impose, but rather facilitates dialogue about the future.

The project starts from a radically simple gesture: Build the entire space by stacking, flipping, and assembling picnic tables, converted into a spatial unit for conversation, rest and social projection.

A reusable scenario that turns the everyday into a critical tool for imagining tomorrow.

"Tomorrow is not built with grand gestures, but with everyday objects transformed into the architecture of encounter."

Strategy

The strategy focuses on reconfigure the familiar as an engine of collective thought.

The picnic table, with its public, community and functional dimension, becomes the architectural module of the entire project.

160 tables make up an ephemeral landscape that bet on real sustainability, with a stage set designed to be dismantled and relocated to public and institutional spaces after the event.

The design transcends the logic of the trade show stand to propose an infrastructure that remains in the city, charged with conversation, memory, and possibility.

Reuse and simplicity become innovation.

Impact

The project managed to transform an event into a spatial and cultural movement, which It values sustainability not only as a technical criterion, but also as a design ethic.

The created space activated multiple forms of interaction—talks, workshops, informal moments—in an environment where The materiality is close but the message is visionary.

After being dismantled, the tables continued their useful life in other public environments, consolidating an architecture that It does not end with the event, but continues as social infrastructure..

A project that transforms the ephemeral into urban continuity.
